Bill Dunn is Maggie Mathison's husband and Carrie's brother-in-law. He is the father of Ruby and Josie.
Biography[]
An employee of the Keane administration, Bill frequently clashes with Carrie, who he increasingly views as a nuisance in his household. Bill and Maggie eventually take custody of Carrie's daughter Frannie.
Season 7[]
He is married to Carrie's sister Maggie and is angered with his sister-in-law when he and his wife return home early from their night out to discover that Josie left Franny with a friend while Carrie went out on an errand and asked Josie to assist her.
When an argument breaks out between his wife and Carrie, he does not get involved but later informs Carrie that Maggie is consulting with a lawyer in a bid to seek permanent custody of Frannie. Carrie later decides to grant them custody with visitation rights every two weeks.
