Farhad Ghazi is an assassin working for the ISI.

Biography[]

He works for the Pakistani intelligence service ISI and is ordered by it to kill the American CIA station chief Sandy Bachman after a drone attack kills a large number of innocent civilians. Peter Quinn accidentally discovers this in a YouTube video showing the murder of Bachman. It shows Ghazi watching the murder and then talking to someone on the headset.

Ghazi also threatens Aayan Ibrahim, who was the only survivor of the drone attack and knows that his uncle Haissam Haqqani was not killed. Meanwhile, Carrie and Quinn begin monitoring Ghazi, but are unable to get close enough to eavesdrop on him. Only when Quinn breaks into his apartment do they manage to connect to his cell phone. This lets them know when Ghazi gets a call saying his laundry is done. Ghazi then begins to pack his things and destroys his mobile phone.

He immediately goes to Islamabad airport, where Saul Berenson notices him. He lures Saul into a restroom, where he is eventually drugged and kidnapped. Afterwards, he calls Tasneem Qureshi and informs her that the task has been completed.

He later assists in the storming of the American Embassy led by Haqqani. After the embassy attack, Quinn tracks down Ghazi in order to get Haqqani's whereabouts through him. He prepares him to torture him to get the information, but when he knocks him out, he finds a cell phone in his pocket that looks like a cell phone he found on one of the deceased Taliban. It is not known what will become of him after that.
