Episode guide[]

At Landstuhl Medical Center, Saul and Carrie are informed by Quinn's doctor that he is currently unconscious. Saul makes it clear to the doctor that they need to speak to him urgently as he may have important information about the attack on Berlin. The doctor explains that they can wake him up, but with enormous risks. Still, Carrie and Saul demand that he do whatever it takes. At the same time, one of Bibi's men is preparing two bottles of poison gas underground in the Berlin subway.

Allison goes with Conrad to a conference she was invited to by Dar Adal. There is a ticket on her car, which she puts in her purse and later takes out in the ladies' room. The case with the note also contains a data carrier with an audio recording that she listens to with her smartphone. After listening, she flushes the data carrier down the toilet. As she washes her hands, a woman is already waiting for her, who knows that Allison was asked in the audio recording to lure the CIA and the BND on the wrong track and thus ensure that they cannot prevent the attack on Berlin. Allison wonders why it is in the interest of the SVR for the attack to take place, whereupon the woman explains to her that this is what the West needs to wake up and see how great the Islamist threat is. Allison doesn't want to help the SVR, but the woman explains to her that this will be her last assignment anyway, as she will never regain the full trust of the CIA. In addition, she gives her the hint that her research with Dr. Aziz, a professor at the TU Berlin. After the interview, Allison attends the conference. Dar Adal shares with those present all the information they have about Bibi Hamed. In addition to Dar Adal and the BND, there is also a representative of the SVR, whom Allison keeps staring at.

Meanwhile, in Landstuhl, attempts are being made to wake Quinn out of his coma. Carrie talks to him and asks him to wake up, after which Quinn actually regains consciousness. However, he is initially unable to speak and answer Carrie's question about his tormentors. When he finally tries to answer her, he spits blood. The doctors take care of him immediately.

Meanwhile, Bibi is told that something is wrong with the trigger for the release of the poison gas, which Dr. Aziz was programmed. Bibi decides to call Dr. Aziz at the university, but his colleague points out that they are all on the watch list and cannot be seen in public. Bibi therefore turns to Qasim, who is the only one who is not wanted by the police. He gives him the trigger and tells him to call Dr. Visit Aziz and ask him to fix the software.

Quinn's doctor tells Saul and Carrie that his condition is stable now, but they were very lucky that he survived. Carrie decides to follow a lead to find out who treated Quinn's gunshot wound and saved his life. Saul agrees. He then receives a call from Otto Düring asking him to take care of Faisal Marwan, who is being held by the BND. Saul promises to go there and do everything in his power for Marwan. Düring then speaks to Laura and asks her to keep a low profile for the time being, since not only her reputation is at stake, but that of the entire foundation. Laura promises him, but shortly afterwards gets in touch with Numan. She asks him to release the remaining documents in case anything should happen to her.

Allison overhears Dar Adal and Astrid talking about a TU Berlin student who was found dead in the house where Quinn's poison gas was tested. Allison suggests investigating further since she has connections at TU. Dar Adal agrees. Meanwhile, Carrie has taken a taxi to a family home, where she visits Al-Amin. His wife initially claims that she doesn't know him, but when Carrie pleads with her, she is allowed in. Al-Amin suspects that Carrie led several people to him, but she assures him that she is alone. She tells him about the doctor who saved Quinn and after convincing Al-Amin that he should help her, he admits that he knows someone who fits her description. The doctor takes care of patients who could not afford much and only pay him as much as they can.

Saul has meanwhile arrived at the BND. Astrid shows him live footage of the intimidated Marwan in an interrogation room. Saul asks her to take him to a cozier room and offer some tea so he can question him in a better atmosphere. Qasim fits Dr. Aziz after a lecture and escorts him to his apartment. He tells him about the problem with the trigger, whereupon Dr. Aziz sits down at his laptop and examines the problem more closely.

Saul questions Marwan, suspecting he knows more than he's letting on. Marwan swears that he only heard in prison that the destination was Berlin. Finally, they are interrupted by Astrid, who shows Saul that Laura Sutton is doing an interview on TV. The employees of the Düring Foundation also watch the transmission. Finally, Laura demands to speak to Faisal Marwan, otherwise she will release the rest of the CIA documents. When asked by the moderator, she also mentions that she is acting on her own and that the Düring Foundation is not involved in her plans. After the interview, Saul goes back to Marwan, but he has since jumped out of the window and is lying dead on the street. Saul is shocked.

While dr Aziz tries to repair the trigger, Qasim asks him about the background, which is why he supports the attack on Berlin. dr Aziz explains to him that Germany supported Israel even when they attacked Lebanon, his homeland, in 2006. Then someone rings Dr. Aziz's apartment, which is why he leads Qasim out of the apartment through a back door. He tells him to tell Bibi that he has to release the gas manually. Then he opens his door, in front of which Allison and Conrad are standing. Allison asks to come inside to talk about his student who was found dead. At first she asks innocuous questions, but quickly reveals that she suspects that Dr. Aziz helped plan the attack with his knowledge of technology. Eventually, she asks Conrad to hand her his gun while he is supposed to call in an arrest team. She threatens Dr. Aziz with the gun and demands that he tell her exactly where the attack will take place. At first he doesn't think it's really going to close, but when she kills Conrad with a headshot, he reveals to her that the main train station is the target and that the poison was hidden in a subway tunnel. Allison then shoots him anyway. Then she calls Astrid and claims to have been shot. After hanging up, she retrieves the gun and shoots herself in the shoulder, before staging it all like it was written by Dr. Aziz shot.

Meanwhile, Carrie has arrived at the doctor's and is talking to him about Quinn. She tries to find out who captured Quinn afterwards. The doctor tells her that he actually thought the group was on its way to Syria. He also reveals to her that one of them has an apartment in the same house where the group has met from time to time. Carrie asks him to show her the apartment.

Astrid, meanwhile, arrives with a team at Dr. Aziz's apartment. Allison is almost unconscious, but she tells Astrid that the attack is to take place at the Berlin airport. Meanwhile, Qasim has informed Bibi and the others that Dr. Aviz couldn't fix the trigger. Bibi still wants to see the plan through to the end. At the same time, Carrie calls Saul and tells him that she found numerous maps of Berlin Central Station in the apartment and therefore thinks this is the target of the attack. Saul then explains to her about the latest findings and that the airport is already being evacuated. Nevertheless, after talking to Carrie, he is skeptical and makes his way to the Berlin Memorial, where Allison's gunshot wound is being treated. Meanwhile, Carrie finds a picture of Bibi and Qasim in the apartment. At the same time, the latter is preparing to carry out the attack. Carrie also makes her way to the main train station and looks around for Bibi and Qasim based on the photo from the apartment.

Saul asks Allison about her conversation with Dr. Aziz, but he does not receive any useful information. Allison asks her doctor not to operate on her just yet, as she must be available at all times to answer any further questions. At the main station, Qasim's colleague is meanwhile closing the gates that lead from the subway to the main building. Carrie spots Qasim also heading towards the subway. She immediately writes a message to Saul, but it is not sent because it hasn't been received. So she asks a civilian to take her cell phone upstairs so that the message can be sent. However, the man thinks she is crazy. She only succeeds on her second attempt. Meanwhile, Qasim also wants to close one of the gates, but when he realizes that the people he is locking in will die, he opens the gate again. When Carrie finally follows him to the platform, she asks a woman what happened. She explains that someone has just disappeared into the subway tunnel. Carrie then jumps onto the tracks and follows the person. At the same time, Saul receives her message. He immediately goes to Allison's treatment room, but she has since disappeared.
