Sarita Chodhury is an English actress who portrayed Mira Berenson on Homeland.

About Her[]

Sarita Chodhury was born in London, England of half-Bengali Indian, half-English parents on August 18, 1966.  Her parents, Prabhas Chandra Choudhury, a scientist, and Julia Patricia Spring, married in 1964 in Jamaica. She studied economics and film at Queen's University in  Ontario, Canada. She has one younger brother, Kumar Michael Choudhury, and one older brother, Chandra Paul Choudhury.

Biography[]

Englishwoman Sarita Choudhury has had a diverse screen career. Her most important films include the strips "Mississippi Masala", "The Perez Family" and "Kama Sutra - The Art of Love", all directed by Mira Nair.

Sarita Choudhury grew up and was born in the Blackheath district of London, but later studied in Canada, at Queens University in Ontario.

After making her screen debut in 1992's Mississippi Masala, she also landed roles in films such as The Haunted House and the Hitchcock remake The Perfect Murder. She also had a recurring role in the crime series "Homicide". There was also a part in the short-lived NBC series Kings as Ian McShane's mistress. Sarita Choudhury faces another Hollywood legend in Homeland, playing Mandy Patinkin's wife Mira Berenson. In the third season she also belongs to the main cast of "Homeland".
