Victor Makarov is Russia's ambassador to the United States.
Biography[]
Viktor Makarov is the Russian ambassador to the United States of America during Elizabeth Keane's presidency. In season 7, since the US government suspects the Russian secret service is behind various fake news and manipulation attempts on American soil, tensions arise between the two countries. Viktor also tries to find a solution through diplomatic means.
In episode 12, Saul negotiates with Viktor for Carrie's release after her detainment during the mission to exfiltrate Simone Martin.
In season 8, Saul later attempts to bargain with Viktor again for the flight recorder on President Warner's helicopter.
